A romantic day in the desert
We took the Fayoum day trip and it was a romantic day in the desert. My wife loved the waterfalls at Wadi El-Rayan. We also saw the whale fossils and did sandboarding. Our guide Youssef was wonderful and gave us space. The driver Mohamed was friendly and professional. The car was clean and comfortable. The whole day was perfect for us. Driver held a sign with my name
I landed at Cairo airport and was worried about finding my ride. But there he was holding a sign with my name clearly written. He smiled and took my bags. The car was clean and cold with air conditioning. We drove smoothly through the crazy traffic. He pointed out some landmarks on the way. I felt safe and relaxed after a long flight. Son was fascinated by the step pyramid
My son was more fascinated by the step pyramid at Saqqara than the Giza ones. He said it looked like stairs for giants. Our guide Sami explained it was the first pyramid ever built. He was amazed. We then visited the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx. Memphis had a giant statue. The van was comfortable and had snacks. The kids were happy the whole day. Admission fee was 41 usd per adult and 25 per child. Length of visit was about 8 hours. Atmosphere was educational and fascinating. Crowd size was about 13 people in our group. Saw everything in six hours
I went solo and I was on a tight schedule. Our guide Mostafa made sure we visited everything efficiently. We started at 8 am and went to Saqqara for one hour. We saw the Step Pyramid and took photos. We went to Memphis for 30 minutes and saw the sphinx. We had a quick snack and went to Dahshour. I climbed inside the Red Pyramid and visited the Bent Pyramid. We were done by 2 pm. It was fast but I saw everything. The car was fast and the driver knew the roads. Mostafa gave me concise information. Admission fee was 85 usd. Length of visit was 6 hours. Spent two hours in Tutankhamun hall

Son wanted to see the pyramids from the car
My son wanted to see the pyramids on the way from the airport. Our driver drove past a spot where they were visible in the distance. He was so happy. Our driver Nasser was accommodating and kind. Friend lost his camera battery

Public transport to the pyramids
